Skinny Ruby Red Grapefruit Martini 🍸
Well it’s been a while!!! Pardon my absence but in all honesty it’s not the easiest to make a lower calorie/sugar cocktail that tastes great! So I needed a break. But with the warmer weather upon us I have felt more inspired and my creative juices have started flowing. I love doing fruity cocktails in the spring and summer because they are just so refreshing and this one is just that! It’s also on the easier side relative to some of my other fruity cocktails so if some of my other cocktails sound too labor intensive and intimidating then this one is for you! Regular grapefruit is a little to bitter for my liking but I love a Ruby Red and I was thrilled to find a low calorie Ruby Red Grapefruit juice at Kroger!! Only 5 calories and 1g of sugar per 8oz 🙌🏼
So here’s whatcha need:
🍸 Grapefruit Infused Vodka- 2.5oz (I used Absolut)
🍸 Diet Grapefruit Juice- 2.5oz
🍸 Juice of 1 lime
🍸 Juice of 1/4 of a Red Grapefruit
🍸 Truvia- .5 tsp for the drink and some for the rim- this is optional but takes some of the bitterness out
Directions:
Run the lime around the rim of a martini glass and then coat the rim in the Truvia. It’s easiest to just dump some Truvia on a small plate to do this. Next, pour the vodka, low cal grapefruit juice, lime juice, fresh grapefruit juice and .5 tsp of Truvia in a cocktail shaker. It’s best to use a handheld juicer for the fresh fruit juice. You will avoid seeds. Then you want to put a handful of ice in and shake for 10-15 seconds. Last, strain your drink into your martini glass and enjoy! 🥂
